Do you want to gain more confidence, calm energy and optimism? Do you want to naturally experience full body orgasms every time you have sex?

Practice rhythmic breathing. For centuries, yogis have encouraged rhythmic breathing, as a way of attuning to the natural rhythm of the universe. All things in the world have a rhythm, from the movement of the planets in our solar system, to the change of seasons and even our emotional states. We are naturally designed to travel with the ebbs and flows of cyclical change, that the universal law dictates. But we have lost our way.

Through the millennia, we’ve been trained to suppress our natural way in the world, so that we can better fit into the societal mold. As a result we’ve been bent out of shape. There are many ideas and dogmas that were imposed upon us in childhood that just didn’t fit, but to please the collective, we were forced to subjugate our inherent natures. And we responded with repression, because our drives or desires often came at the price of guilt and shame. Wilhelm Reich believed that when children were reared to suppress their natural urges, they would develop neuromuscular tensions in the body, stifling the flow of “orgone energy” or chi.

When we practice rhythmic breathing, we open the channels that allow for this chi or psychic energy to spontaneously flow through us, synchronizing our body, mind and spirit. Internal conflicts begin to dissolve, while our conscious and subconscious minds begin working in harmony and unison.

How Do You Breathe Rhythmically?

I follow Israel Regardie’s method in his book “The Art Of True Healing”. It’s a tiny book that can be read from cover to cover in less than an hour. It’s also the kind of book that you will want to read more than once, because it will teach you the most indispensable techniques to healing yourself on many different levels.

So rhythmic breathing is extremely simple, but it may not be easy. Let me explain…

First, it’s important that you practice in a place where you won’t be disturbed. I find it best to do it for 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening.

Close your eyes and focus on relaxing any tension in your body. If you do find some tense muscles, simply tighten them for a few seconds and then relax them.

When you’re sufficiently relaxed, simply inhale, for 4 counts, followed by 4 counts as you exhale. It’s crucial to synchronize the number of counts between the inhale and the exhale. A count of 10 would be just as effective. You can pause in between breaths for a few seconds. If you’re a visual person, it might help to actually imagine what it looks like as your breath enters in through your mouth and into your lungs, and as it is discharged into the open air, on the exhale.

At first, you may find that your breathing is very shallow, which is why I mentioned earlier that this exercise isn’t so easy for many people. Pay no attention to the depth of your breathing for now. Simply speed up the count. Don’t force your breath into the lower abdomen. This will only be met with resistance, especially if you aren’t in the habit of cleansing your chakras. This might just mean that you have some blockages in your energy centers. No need to worry, practice rhythmic breathing consistently everyday for atleast 3-6 months and the imbalances in your body will eventually be dislodged.

What Are The Effects Of Rhythmic Breathing?

You may notice a number of things when practicing rhythmic breathing. Your breathing may deepen and you may notice that it effortlessly enters into lower abdomen, which is the most natural way of breathing. Just look at the way babies breathe and you will understand. Traumas and repressed emotions create energy imbalances in the body, that affect the level of intake of oxygen. If they are not resolved they may eventually lead to dis-ease. It’s similar to putting a kink in a hose, stopping the current from flowing its natural course.

Some people notice a tingling sensation or warmth being generated in their bodies. This is just your prana or chi being released. It’s nothing to worry about. Actually, it’s something to celebrate, because you are beginning to attune to the essence of who you are, in relationship to the world around you. Your natural way of being. Some people wonder, where does this energy come from? The answer is, it’s been there all along, and just like undoing the kink in the hose, all of a sudden the current will jet out the other end with a lot of gusto. It may take some people a while or no time at all, to feel the powerful effects of rhythmic breathing. Just practice it as a daily discipline and you will eventually clear the pathway that will allow for an explosion of energy to join you. And with this energy comes a number of secondary benefits, including increased vitality, creativity, intelligence, magnetism, relaxation etc.

While rhythmic breathing may be an effective method in harmonizing the entire being, sometimes it’s important to go skin deep and actually loosen up tension in the physical body. Steve P recognizes that issues remain trapped in the tissues, when working on women’s bodies, using White Tiger Tantra massage techniques. He discovered that a woman’s ability to have full body orgasms (as opposed to just genital orgasms) is dependent on her releasing the trapped energies, particularly in the pelvic and genital region, where many hold a lot of tension. Once the muscles become fully relaxed and the neuromuscular tensions are worked out, many women report experiencing a flood of sensual energy cascading through their entire body. They start having spontaneous full body orgasms and if rhythmic breathing is also incorporated, every orgasm may become a cathartic experience. It almost makes you wonder where did all that energy come from? Energy is energy. It’s been there all along. It’s just that most of us forgot what it was like when we were able to give it full expression.

Most people believe that orgasms are centered in the genitals and they aren’t. It’s truly a full body experience and there is no limit to the amount of sexual energy that the body can contain. For women, an orgasm doesn’t result in the loss of sexual energy as it does in men, which is why most women are capable of having extended, multiple and even full body orgasms. During a full body orgasm the entire body is flooded with orgasmic energy, which can not only prolong lovemaking, it can be taken outside the sexual context and transmuted into creative energy. Orgasms that are centered in the genitals are similar to letting out a good sneeze. They are reflexive in nature and are over as quickly as they began.

Relax the pelvis…
As women approach orgasm, many automatically tense their bodies up, causing their backs, legs and hips to contract. When we are forcing the orgasm to happen, it limits the sensory experience to one area only. When you consciously focus your attention on relaxing into the rising sensations, you will flood your body with more sensual energy, leading to full body orgasms.

Many women have the habit of clenching up their pelvic muscles and even momentarily stop breathing as they are approaching orgasm, trying to squeeze out every last sensation, as though they cannot trust their own bodies to do what is supposed to come so naturally. Relaxing and rocking the pelvis during intercourse or masturbation can help disperse the sexual energy, but many find that this distracts them from their goal of achieving an orgasm. Therein lies the problem.

Men are by nature more goal-oriented, while women are more process-oriented
However, in this day and age there has been a lot of gender confusion when it comes to sex. No wonder, such a large portion of women have some form of sexual dysfunction! Women are no match for their male counterparts when it comes to sex.Their sexual natures are inherently different.

According to Taoist philosophy, a woman or yin energy, acts as the receiver for the male yang energy. For women, entering into a receptive state by relaxing and breathing deeply during sex, can produce much more satisfying orgasms. Women need to learn to divert their attention from trying to have an orgasm (striving for a goal), which causes the body to be filled with adrenaline and other stress-hormones, to allowing the orgasm to happen (trusting the process), which fills the body with endorphins and pleasure-producing chemicals.

When it comes to full body orgasms, breathing is key
We tend to breathe rapidly when we are aroused which pools our energies in only one area. Slow and controlled breathing in the abdomen can help extend orgasms as well as spread the energy throughout our bodies, leading to full body orgasms. Also, the connection between you and your partner can greatly be enhanced by synchronizing your breathing patterns. Deep breathing during arousal and orgasm also helps by removing the energy blocks in the body, allowing orgasmic energy to travel freely through the chakras.

Try the White Tiger Tantra Heart Meditation. It’s an excellent breathing technique that can help you cycle orgasmic energy throughout the body.

“The issues are trapped in the tissues”, says Steve P. For sexual energy to be able to move freely through the body may require a release of blocked energy, caused by emotional issues. Guilt, shame and sexual repression can cause muscle tension in the genital area, leading to an excess of energy with nowhere to go. Which is why orgasm and arousal is a genital experience for most people.

The White Tiger Tantra massage entails deep tissue massage of the pelvic and genital region in women, helping disperse the sexual energy and opening up the channels that will make every orgasm a full body experience. So with the gradual clearing of trapped emotions and the raising of sexual energy, we can release our past traumas and conditioning, while opening up to a greater source of power and creative energy.

Tantra is a centuries old practice that has developed a reputation in the West as being strictly sex-related. When most people think of tantra, they think of the Kama Sutra, which is only one facet of tantric practices and doesn’t encompass it as a whole. Tantra combines prayer, meditation, yoga and other rituals that can give a person the power to heal themselves and other people. It encourages balance, love and empowerment of all aspects of our lives.

What is tantra?
The word tantra means to “weave” and to “expand”. We are weaving all the elements and energies in our lives to bring more balance and harmony, while expanding our potential as spiritual beings. Tantric practices are a series of doctrines whose purpose it is to harmonize and maximize energy in the body, mind and spirit. It is a meditation path, which seeks to expand our senses rather than transcend them, so that we can experience life more fully.

What are the origins of tantra?
The origins of tantra are rather obscure. Its roots can be traced back to places like Tibet, China and Indonesia. It is closely tied to Hinduism and Vedic traditions. The rise of tantra acted as a sort of rebellion to the oppressive religious beliefs of the day.

What Are Some Of The Benefits Of Tantra?
Tantra can help you develop self-control. Through tantric breathing techniques, you can learn to channel your energy more effectively and stabilize your emotional states. Tantra will allow you to tune into your most subtle feelings and show you the things that bring you to more blissful and peaceful states. It will help you to achieve greater intimacy with yourself and others.

What Is The Relationship Between Tantra and Sex?
While tantra can help prolong lovemaking, there is much more to it. In tantra, sex can help you achieve more powerful states of ecstasy through the raising of Kundalini energy. Tantric sex can be used as a means of transformation that can help people connect more fully. In recreational forms of sex, orgasm is the end goal. Sex has no beginning or end in tantra. It isn’t a form of indulgence, but rather a means for healing and transcendence.

How Do I Introduce Tantric Sex To My Partner?
Many people suffer from shame and guilt revolving around sex that stems from family and religion. Past conditioning can be an obstacle when it comes to talking about sex, especially embracing it. Presenting yourself in an open and understanding way can help open up lines of communication between you and your partner. Include your partner in the process of learning by presenting factual information, that will peak their interest.

How Can I Learn More About Tantra?
There is literally a mountain of information out there pertaining to tantra. Just visit any bookstore, library or research the topics online. There are excellent books such as “The Art Of Sexual Ecstasy”, by Margo Anand, which can provide you with the knowledge that you need to take your tantra practice further, but may not be as effective as studying with a tantric practitioner or instructional video, such as White Tiger Tantra.

“All women ejaculate during orgasm”, says Dr. Laura Berman in an interview with Oprah. It’s just that most women hold in the fluid, out of embarrassment or inconvenience. Fortunately, those who can get past their inhibitions and learn to ejaculate claim that it does make their orgasms so much more… explosive.

For the last couple of decades, doctors attributed female ejaculation to “poor bladder control” or urinary incontinence. Others believed that the of fluid was an excess of vaginal secretions and while it might be in some instances, many studies indicate otherwise. According to Dr. Sandra Leiblum, in Current Sexual Health Reports (2006), “Recent careful investigations have both confirmed the existence of semen-like liquid emission and the existence of the female prostate (Skene’s Gland) as its primary source.” Other researchers, like Dr. Gary Schubach claim that most of the female ejaculate originates in the bladder, but that the fluid that is expelled has a similar in composition to prosthetic fluid in male ejaculation, less the sperm.

So why are there still so many myths surrounding female ejaculation? For starters, most people (including women) don’t understand how female ejaculation works, so it has remained a mystery to many. Not to mention that the majority of women never learned how to. The most direct route to female ejaculation is really learning how to properly manipulate the g-spot, which is located about 2 inches along the front wall of the vagina. When stimulated, the g-spot becomes engorged and fills with fluid, that often gives women the sensation of wanting to urinate during sex. That is a good thing by the way and it means that you are well on your way to experiencing the powerful orgasms that female ejaculation can bring you.

The truth is, many women are deeply inhibited when it comes to their bodily fluids, because most of us have been taught from an early age that we need to uphold a dry and pristine appearance to be sexy. Yet, we fail to recognize that most men love the challenge of being able to arouse and satisfy a woman completely. So while we may be denying our own pleasure, we are inadvertently denying our partner’s. For many women, making a mess is an issue, when it comes to female ejaculation. If that’s the case, try practicing self-stimulation while in a tub or the shower. Not only will you be training your body for a greater capacity to feel pleasure and all the wonderful effects that female ejaculation can bring, you’re also giving yourself permission to get a little wet and wild.

I was in my early twenties when I first began to experience female ejaculation, after being introduced to White Tiger Tantra. Like many women, I didn’t have a very fulfilling sex life, and hardly knew what an orgasm was really supposed to feel like, let alone female ejaculation. The thing is, for a woman to learn to ejaculate isn’t difficult. You just need to learn the right techniques. Many women resort to learning on their own, using various toys designed for stimulating the G-spot, but if you really want to take your orgasms to the next level, you’ve got to experience a White Tiger Tantra massage. Not only will it allow for incredible female ejaculations, but it will also amplify any type of female orgasm to mind-blowing levels.

Want to transform your sex life from lukewarm, to sizzling hot? Practice simple Kegel exercises to bring you and your partner to new heights of sexual ecstasy.

What Are Kegels?

Kegels are muscle building exercises, that are used to develop strength in the pelvic floor, sometimes known as the puboccocygeus or PC muscle. In 1948, Dr. Arnold Kegel first developed the Kegel exercise when working with pregnant women, to prevent urinary incontinence. It was later discovered that regularly practicing Kegel exercises, had an important sexual function in both men and women.

In women, Kegel exercises can bring more blood flow to the genital region, leading to greater sexual sensitivity, a tightened vagina and more powerful full body orgasms. If you’ve never experienced female ejaculation through White Tiger Tantra, you are well on your way once you begin to strengthen your PC muscles through Kegels.

In men, there are many great benefits to having toned PC muscles. According to urologist, Dr. Andrew Siegel, Kegel exercises can help men maintain erections for longer periods of time, prevent premature ejaculation and enhance sexual pleasure. Some men report experiencing multiple orgasms when regularly exercising their pelvic floor muscles.

So, lets talk about your PC or Pelvic Floor muscles, because you need to first locate them in order to exercise them.  The next time you have a full bladder, simply contract those muscles which stop your flow of urine. You’ve just located your PC muscles and exercising them will be a breeze, because you can practice just about anywhere. Practice your Kegels while sitting at the office, commuting, standing in line at the post office and even while you’re having sex!

How To Do Kegels

There are many ways you can do Kegels. I’ll share with you a couple of techniques, but feel free to invent your own if you will, just to keep it more interesting.

The Squeeze & Release:
The name says it all. Simply, squeeze your PC muscle, holding for a count of 10, then slowly release. Repeat in sets of 3. You can continue practicing the sets or do quick reps intermittently. While doing Kegels, men can place a towel over their erection for added weight.

The Elevator:
This Kegel exercise is often used with pregnant ladies to prepare them for childbirth, but don’t let that thought detract you from getting the most out of it.  So, imagine your pelvic muscle is an elevator or escalator, whichever you prefer. There are 10 floors or levels to go up. On your inhale, start by contracting your PC muscle slowly drawing it up 5 floors (for starters). Hold it there for a few seconds, then exhale and slowly release, traveling back down. Women can give a slight push outwards, as though moving down into the basement levels, to train the body for female ejaculation.

On a side note, most sex shops sell specially designed Kegel exercisers for women such as, Ben Wa balls, smart balls, jade eggs, barbells and my favorite “The Gyneflex”.

Kegels & White Tiger Tantra

Steve P recommends that women practice their Kegels in conjunction with White Tiger Tantra. There are many reasons for this, but primarily because that for many women, the PC muscles become weakened under certain circumstances, such as the aging process, pregnancy and even extended vibrator use. While the White Tiger Tantra massage can help release muscular tensions in the body, pelvic floor muscle strength not only increases pleasure and vaginal sensitivity, it gives a woman better control of her urethra, through which female ejaculate is released.

So whether you are a man who wants firmer erections and  to prevent premature ejaculation, or you are a woman who wishes she could experience mind-melting orgasms, practice your Kegels daily.

The Chakras

The opening of the chakras through the awakening of Kundalini energy is the foundation of many major systems of tantra. It aims for the total spiritual integration of the individual, through the power of sexual energy. In tantric philosophy, sex is our striving for unity, which can be attained through the proper alignment and attunement of the chakras.

What Are The Chakras?

The chakras are the energy centers of our bodies, which vibrate at different frequencies. Located along the spinal cord from the tailbone, up to the crown at the top of the head, the seven major chakras in the body, transform the energy that enters into them into emotions and physical sensations.

Root Chakra/First Chakra:
Also known as the Muladhara chakra, in Sanskrit, carries a special importance in tantra. It is the seat of Kundalini energy, which spirals upwards, attuning the higher chakras. Located off the base of the spine, at the tailbone, the root chakra is associated with earth energy and is the center of our physical experience.  It governs our survival instincts, security, trust, health etc. When the root chakra is underactive a person tends to be fearful, anxious and mistrusting of other people. When overactive a person can be overly materialistic and exhibit greedy behaviors.

Sacral Chakra/Second Chakra:
Or Svadhisthana is the sex chakra. Situated between the navel and the genitals, it regulates the expression of our sexuality, sensuality and creative energies.  In tantra, balancing the second chakra, frees up the sexual energy and allows it to transmutate into higher spiritual energy. Often, women will block the flow of energy to this chakra, out of fear of attracting the wrong kind of attention, whereas men will often lose the energy through the second chakra, due to overindulgence in sex.

Solar Plexus Chakra/Third Chakra:
Or Manipura is located in the solar plexus region. It is the largest of all the chakras, which coalesces our primal and spiritual energies. The third chakra is the root of our will, personal power and identity, as well as our reservoir of fears. When the energy doesn’t radiate at the solar plexus, it inadvertently disrupts the flow of energy to the heart. According to Keith Sherwood, author of “Chakra Therapy”, “For a relationship to last and for it to grow in trust, both parties must connect at the solar plexus center, as well as the heart center.”

Heart Chakra/Fourth Chakra:
Or Anahata is located in the heart region. It is associated with our feelings of love and compassion.  It is in the heart chakra where Kundalini energy rises from the root and manifests in its most beautiful form, radiating outwards to heal others. Most of us have experienced some kind of disruption in our flow of heart energy, from having our hearts broken. Fortunately, through the proper alignment of our chakras, we can release the heartache or heartbreak, allowing us once again, to more become open to giving and receiving love.

Throat Chakra/Fifth Chakra:
Or Visuddha governs our self-expression and our power of understanding. If you were raised with the mentality that “children should be seen, not heard”, you may have developed blockages in the fifth chakra, leading to difficulties in expressing your needs, making you appear introverted and shy. An overactive fifth chakra can make a person outspoken and assertive. When in balance, the throat chakra acts as the gateway between our emotions and intellect, allowing us to transcend our fears

Third Eye/Sixth Chakra:
Or Ajna grants us with the power of insight, clairvoyance and mystical knowledge. The third eye controls our higher mental faculties and our rational mind. Rigid thinking and beliefs can be indicative of a blocked third eye chakra, while fantasy and flightiness rest at the other extreme. When the third eye is balanced, our conscious and unconscious minds merge. In other words, the gap is bridged between what we “think” and what we “feel.”

Crown Chakra/Seventh Chakra:
Or Sahasrara is located at the crown (top) of the head. Once our crown chakra has been opened, we have achieved a total unification of our mind, body and spirit. In tantra, the awakening of the crown chakra corresponds to the merging of our male and female energies (Shiva & Shakti), leading to spiritual enlightenment.

Steve P talks extensively about the importance of practicing chakra cleansing, in conjunction with White Tiger Tantra. So  I’ll be sharing with you some of his powerful techniques, at a later time. In the meantime, I hope that a better understanding of the nature and function of your chakras, will assist you in exploring and developing a deeper awareness of your innermost self.

White Tiger Tantra Heart MeditationSexual energy is the most powerful human force and when it is misused, it can become destructive leaving a person feeling dissatisfied, depleted and insatiable. When raised and channeled through the higher energy centers in our bodies, sexual energy has the power of electrifying our creative natures, opening up our hearts and nourishing our souls. Napoleon Hill says, “When driven by this desire, men develop keenness of imagination, courage, will-power, persistence, and creative ability unknown to them at other times.

On that note, I’d like to share with you one of Steve P’s sexual meditation techniques which will assist you in cultivating sexual energy and opening your heart to a greater capacity to give and receive love. While both men and women can benefit from the powerful effects of this meditation, women who practice it before and after the White Tiger Tantra massage report experiencing full body orgasms more readily.

The White Tiger Tantra Heart Meditation:

First, find a comfortable place where you will be undisturbed (alone or with your partner). You can do this meditation sitting or laying down. As you close your eyes, begin to breathe deeply through your nose and out through your mouth . On the inhale, focus your attention on a spot two inches below the navel (the navel chakra) and as you exhale, focus on a spot at the top of the head (the crown chakra).

Continue breathing in this manner, until you find yourself sufficiently relaxed. Now, allow your sexual imagination to run away with you, noticing as the sexual energy begins to rise within. Track the feelings inside your body. Where do you feel them? Usually, there are two or three spots in the body.

You may chose to stimulate yourself slowly or strictly use this as a mental exercise. Try it out both ways if you will.  As your body begins to flood with sexual energy and you find yourself reaching your orgasmic peak, stop and place your tongue at the roof of your mouth. Then rapidly inhale through your nose and focus on the navel, holding your breath for a few seconds. As you exhale focus on a spot at the top of the head. Repeat for a total of 4 breaths

Draw in a  fifth breath, holding your attention on your navel, for a few seconds…As you exhale, slowly open your eyes, allowing the sensual energy to flood into your heart, energizing its very core,  then imagine it spreading through every cell, nerve and fiber of your body, until it is filled to overflowing.

Remain still for a couple of minutes, taking the time notice any new sensations that you may or may not have been aware of before starting this meditation. Once noticed, simply thank your unconscious mind and then allow the energy to multiply even more…At this point, you may want to repeat the steps a few times to amplify the energy.

On A Final Note…
To experience the true power of the White Tiger Tantra Heart Meditation, practice it several times throughout the day, for 2 or 3 days, before releasing the sexual energy through orgasm. This will multiply your orgasms,  revitalizing your creative energy and enhancing the love in your relationships.

“The White Tiger Tantra Heart Meditation will help you connect first with yourself, and with your partner or partners in a loving relationship. After all, what is a relationship about, if not about its root meaning in relating to one in another.”

Walk Reveals Orgasm

Ladies, what if I told you that the way you walk reveals a lot more about your sex lives than you might have thought? Don’t worry, there’s no need to feel uptight about it. Let me explain…

A study conducted by Dr. Stuart Brody, at the University of West Scotland found a relationship between the fluidity with which a woman walks and her ability to have vaginal orgasms. They discovered that women with a more fluid stride were reported to experience orgasms more readily than women with locked and rigid pelvises. None of the researchers were provided with their subjects’ sexual history. Yet, 80 % of the time, they were able to correctly predict whether the women were orgasmic, simply by watching a video of them walking at a distance. According to Dr. Brody, “Blocked pelvic muscles, which might be associated with psychosexual impairments, could both impair vaginal orgasmic response and gait.” On the other hand, unblocked energy around the pelvic area, resulting in more walking fluidity, was associated with greater ability to have orgasms.

So what does this tell us? Could it be that psychosexual impairments might be the root cause of blocked pelvic muscles, rather than an inherited physical condition? Wilhelm Reich talked about this concept extensively. He believed that if children were shamed or punished for expressing their natural urges, it would create neuromuscular tensions in their bodies, causing them to lock up and go rigid over time.  Reich called this phenomenon “body armoring” or “genital armoring”, where pelvic muscles would grow stiff.

So what is a woman to do, if she discovers that she walks like a piece of plywood? Well, there are many things that can be done. While dancing and yoga can help stretch out the pelvic muscles, these activities may be limited in their ability to release the psychological and emotional issues revolving around sex.  Steve P says, “The issues are trapped in the tissues.” He has developed his system of White Tiger Tantra around this concept. The techniques that he teaches are directly geared towards releasing the built up tensions and trapped emotions, that prevent the free flow of sexual energy.

Some of you might have seen the hip-stretching exercise that Steve P demonstrates in his White Tiger Tantra DVDs. If a woman’s hips and pelvis don’t rotate fully, chances are that she has not even nearly reached the peak of her sexual enjoyment in life. Less fluidity in the pelvis, leads to less blood flow to the genital region, decreasing sensitivity, engorgement and stifling orgasms.  So I strongly urge you to practice the hip-stretching exercise with your partner before the massage. If you’re the one administering the massage, it will make your job easier, because your partner’s response to you will be greatly amplified. If you’re on the receiving end, not only will you experience greater sensual pleasure, you will also begin moving like the sensuous being that you were designed to be…

In the hundreds of women I’ve worked with who choose to regularly use vibrators during sex and masturbation, it takes 5 to 8 times more work to awaken them to be able to experience full body orgasms. And for those women who I’ve noticed return to using vibrators, their ability to experience full body orgasms quickly diminish from under 7 minutes to not at all.

The vibrator was developed as a medical tool to relieve women of hysteria. Although it has been a tool to help women reach orgasm for over 100 years, little attention has been paid to what, if any, effects prolonged use can have on the nerve endings in and around the vagina. Research in the 80′s into the use of vibration as a desensitizing method to treat traumatic hand injuries shows that a single session of 10 minutes with a vibrator will decrease sensitivity to touch and heat for an equal amount of time after removing the vibrator.

Vibrator

14% of women report never cleaning their vibrators.

Scientific research in the personal use of a vibrator as a sex toy is lacking. A 1976 survey reported a 1% use by females, a 1996 survey reported 19% of Swiss women between the ages 18-74 used vibrators, more recently a 2009 survey found just under half of respondents reported using a vibrator at some point. The 2009 survey by Drs. Michael Reece and Debra Herbenick also found that 28.5% of women also reported side effects of vibrator use ranging from numbness to tears or cuts.

So does this mean that more and more women are using vibrators or are they just more open about their use? Who knows. It may be years before sex researchers are able to conclusively show one way or another what affect vibrator use is having. So where does that leave us? Some sex experts, like Dr. Frank Sommers, caution against the use of vibrators not because they ‘desensitize’ but because they train the body to only be able to orgasm through a level of stimulus that no human (man or woman) can recreate.

Let’s face it, it may be years before we have the facts on whether or not vibrator use can cause desensitization or any other form of impairment. From my own experience, I can say that I’ve worked with hundreds of women who had not only experienced numbness but had also been unable to form strong relationship bonds with men and women because of their use of vibrators. Some of these women had gone so far as to name their vibrators and even celebrate their anniversary once a year. And while most questions regarding desensitization concern the woman’s clitoris, the other major nerve bundles inside the vagina (the A-spots, G-spot, U-spot, and SRP) are just about never mentioned. Further, I’ve yet to meet a woman who could achieve the level of full body orgasm that White Tiger Tantra achieves with her vibrator.

In the end, it all boils down to what sort of relationship do you want? The vibrator can be effective as a means of showing a woman that it is possible to experience orgasm. And if building emotional bonds with an inanimate object works better for you than bonding with another human, that’s great. But the practice of White Tiger Tantra requires that vibrators are set aside while the woman and her partner(s) work to help her develop the ability of experiencing the heightened states of sensual pleasure and full body orgasm that all women’s bodies are designed to achieve.
